On June 18, 2026, The H-J Family of Companies, a global leader in
manufacturing high-quality products and solutions for the electrical industry,
commemorated the opening of its new manufacturing facility in León, Guanajuato, Mexico.
The investment expands the company’s manufacturing capacity and strengthens its global
footprint across North American and international markets.
The new facility spans 108,000 square feet of dedicated manufacturing and distribution
space. The plant will produce insulators, epoxy and porcelain bushings, conductors, and
other critical components for the transformer and switchgear industries, as well as
additional sectors that play an essential role in supporting a reliable electrical grid.
Alongside the new facility in León, H-J is building an additional manufacturing facility at its
headquarters in High Ridge, Missouri, USA, adding approximately 90,500 square feet as
part of its ongoing expansion. This additional facility in Missouri increases epoxy
production and enables warehouse automation through ten new presses and new
investments in capital equipment.
The global demand for dependable electrical components continues to grow as industries invest in grid modernization and expansion. The facility in León and the additional facility in High Ridge position H-J to meet the energy sector’s growing needs through increased production capacity and supply chain responsiveness across domestic and international markets.
The H-J Family of Companies commemorated the official León opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company leadership, employees, community partners, strategic clients and local officials, including Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, Secretary of Economy of Guanajuato. The event celebrated the company’s investment in the León community and recognized the team that brought the project to life.
“In 2019, we started manufacturing operations in Mexico with a clear vision: to offer our customers the same level of quality, service, and commitment that has distinguished H-J for more than 50 years. Today, we have 150 employees in facilities spanning almost 108,000 square feet, enabling us to serve customers more efficiently, strengthen our supply chain, expand production capacity, and respond with greater agility to the needs of an evolving global market,” said Cristhian Duque, H-J Mexico General Manager.
